So I have wanted to write about Fifty shades of Grey for a very long time. I think I am a tad obsessed so sorry in advance if my blog post is long. Fifty Shades is the best story I have ever read…EVER. It is a unique romance and I have never read anything like this before.
When my friend told me to read this book I was quite curious to if I would enjoy it. I mean I knew what it was about but I thought I would see what the fuss is all about. Well, once I started to read it I just couldn’t put it down.
For anyone who hasn’t read the books, it is about a business man named Christian Grey and a very innocent girl named Anastasia Steele. Ana has to interview Christian for her friend because she is ill, she is very attracted to him and they later bump into each other again. Ana finds out what he is really like, how he has sub missive’s, how he is a very dominant man and just how different he is to other men. Lots of stuff happens between them and Ana is introduced to a new way of sex and pleasure. I am not going to let you know what happens at the end because I don’t want to ruin it for you.
I was so emotionally attached to this book, it made me cry and smile. I just got so into it and how it is worded is beautiful. When I found out it was being made into a film- oh my god! I was VERY excited. I set it up on my countdown app and I have been counting down since about 400 days. Excited isn’t even the word. However when I did find out it was becoming a film I was a bit worried.
1. Christian Grey wouldn’t match up to my expectations.
2. Everyone has a Christian Grey in their head and the film will ruin how they think he is suppose to look.
3. Missing out huge chunks of the book and it ruining the romance.
4. Age rating. I was worried that they will make it a 15 and it won’t contain many sex scenes. The book is based about sex so they shouldn’t miss out some of the most important scences. It definies who Christian is and tells you a lot about Ana as well. Just because there are quite a few sex scenes it doesn’t need to be made into a ‘porno’ as some people call it. It just means it will be quite explicit. Therefore I think the perfect age rating should be 18 and over.
From what I have seen so far, I am quite happy. I am happy with who is playing Christian grey. I think that I think Jamie Dornan will play the perfect Christian. The trailer was made perfectly as well. It had the key bits in but it didn’t give too much away. The ‘Crazy In Love’ version by Beyoncé was perfect for the trailer. It gave me goose bumps. I think Dakota Johnson plays the perfect Ana as well. Ana is a very innocent woman and the trailer shows just that.
I am going to read the first one again just before the film comes out just so it is fresh in my mind! I will do another review of the film when it comes out. Now I will finish there because I have probably bored everyone aha! So what are your opinions of fifty shades of grey? Do you recommend it? Will you be watching the film?
